01 / The Dog Hump diariesA life in five snapshots.
A change of scenery. Never a change of character.
Some days call for a little sunshine. Others call for a spacesuit. He brings the same look to all of them.

01 / SUNSHINE STATE OF MIND
Out of office. Into the sunshine.
Dog Hump found the perfect patch of sand, claimed the shade under a striped umbrella, and cancelled every plan except watching the waves. The ocean had a lot to say. He was happy to listen.
His glasses caught the sunlight. His expression said it all: this meeting could have been a beach day.
Chapter I — A very slow start
02 / FOUR PAWS. FOUR WHEELS.
All roll. No rush.
Back in the city, Dog Hump traded the shoreline for a skateboard. With four paws planted and his glasses perfectly balanced, he rolled into the skate park. The ramp did the hard work. He supplied the attitude.
Chapter II — Taking the scenic route
03 / ANOTHER DAY AT THE DESK
Very busy. Doing his thing.
A coffee, a keyboard, and a calendar full of things that could wait. Dog Hump settled into his office chair and gave the screen his most professional stare. Nobody knew what he was working on. Everybody assumed it was important.
Chapter III — Chief of taking it easy
04 / A SMALL STEP FOR A DOG
Same dog. Lunar address.
The office view was nice, but Dog Hump wanted a little more space. So he put on a suit and took a walk on the Moon. Earth floated in the distance. His glasses stayed on. Not even a trip through space could lift an eyebrow.
Chapter IV — The longest walk yet
05 / HOME FOR THE FIRST SNOW
Cold air. Warm character.
Back on Earth, the city put on its winter coat. Dog Hump wrapped himself in a red scarf and wandered between glowing street lamps. Snow gathered on his ears. There was nowhere to be, and that was exactly where he wanted to go.
